Hi, I’m Cecilia.
I am a calm, down to earth, positive person and enjoy the simple things in life. Self-care is important to me and I boost my energy levels by getting outdoors in the daylight as often as I can. I run, cycle and hike in the hills and I love skiing. I like pottering in the garden and relaxing at home with my cats Basil and Vera. I enjoy the company of humans too and love spending time with friends and family.
As a person-centred therapist, I believe that the relationship is key to positive outcomes. I will create a warm, confidential, and safe space where we can work together and explore whatever is troubling you. As we work through any difficulties you may be experiencing, you will feel more able to find your own solutions and coping strategies which will allow you to heal, grow and develop. I will listen without judgement and accept you as you are.
I have much experience working with a diverse range of people from all backgrounds and cultures during distressing and challenging situations. My ability to remain calm when faced with challenge and to take whatever life throws at me is why I decided to retrain as a counsellor. I qualified in 2021 with Persona and Aberdeen University and I am enjoying combining my counselling work with my role in Perinatal Mental Health for a Scottish charity. I also volunteer as a counsellor at the PF Counselling service. I have a good work life balance and all 3 roles complement each other well.
