Psychodynamic Counselling

Psychodynamic therapy is based on the belief that the relationships we form and experiences we have in childhood can impact our day-to-day life. As we gain insight into these relationships and experiences, we gain a better understanding of ourselves.

Psychodynamic counselling can help in many areas of life, including (but not limited to) dealing with depression, past trauma, relationship issues, addictions, eating disorders or feeling a loss of purpose in life.

During a session the therapist and client will work together to uncover any patterns of behaviour; possible negative beliefs and feelings they may have towards themselves or others. This type of therapy can give the client increased self-awareness, increased confidence and the motivation to face issues and difficulties going forward.
